Morphing Landscapes
Morphing Landscapes approaches Bach not as a relic, but as sonic matter to be transfigured. Bach pages, set beside Eugène Bozzas homage, undergo a process of metamorphosis entrusted to trombone and a constellation of keyboards including piano, Hammond, Rhodes and Wurlitzer. The project is especially innovative because it shifts the centre of gravity from transcription to the idea of a timbral landscape in flux: mutes, electric blends and spontaneous dialogues redefine the profile of Baroque and twentieth-century memory. The result is a frontier itinerary in which historical continuity manifests itself as the ceaseless transformation of sound and of listening, within a mobile and visionary sonic geography. A project of rare timbral audacity.
