Christos Hatzis: Anthropomorphosis
In Anthropomorphosis, the writing of Christos Hatzis appears as an ethics of listening. Zeitgeist, Extreme Unction and Winter Solstice form a triptych of rare coherence, in which the string orchestra becomes in turn a social space, a threshold between corporeality and transcendence, and the historical conscience of our age. Plurality of language, meditation on the sacred, memory of the twentieth century and the urgency of contemporary themes converge in music that never separates constructive rigour from spiritual tension. The project thus assumes the profile of an inner and civic landscape, where sound becomes thought, testimony and a light arduously won, beyond every facile consolation, in an unceasing dialogue between history, metaphysics and human responsibility.
