Lunch, Lydia

13.13

The 1982-cult-album "13.13" of the no-wave / post-punk icon LYDIA LUNCH remastered: the red vinyl including the gatefold poster with liner notes is limited to 499 copies, contains previously unpublished live recordings and will be released on RUSTBLADE. Renowned for her excessive live performances, the singer, spoken word artist and actress was an integral part of the burgeoning New York No Wave scene in the late 1970s, founding the band TEENAGE JESUS AND THE JERKS with JAMES CHANCE and working in the ensuing Solo years and more with THURSTON MOORE (SONIC YOUTH), THE BIRTHDAY PARTY, IMMIGRANT NEWBORNS, JIM THIRLWELL / FOETUS, HENRY ROLLINS and the experimental filmmaker RICHARD KERN. Through the project BIG SEXY NOISE, which u.a. JAMES JOHNSTON (GALLON DRUNK), LUNCH, which is undoubtedly the role model for artists such as COURTNEY LOVE, was also known to a younger generation. With this classic you dive into the dark side of the L.A.s of the early 80s and the dark, shattering lyrics, supported by LUNCH's fearful vocals, let one feel the breath of murder and desperation on the neck.
