For You The Wild
After a series of limited edition 7" vinyl EPs Camilla Sparksss (aka Barbara Lehnhoff) is here to release her debut album For You The Wild on April 7th 2014 for Africantape and On the Camper records. She was born at -27 C in December 1983. She grew up amongst the indian reserves on the Great Lakes of Northwestern Ontario (Canada) with her family and a small brown bear. "For You The Wild" is all of this. The wildlife, the lakes, the woods and the art of having to invent your own games. This ten track album is a storm of dirty electronic contorted pop written without rules by Barbara and her producer Aris Bassetti (also her partner in the art rock band Peter Kernel). The fil rouge of "For You The Wild" is the battle between acting sweet and dancing in your face. Its about life; wildlife. The single Move Like A Shark moves like a shark; slowly gliding through melodies of vast synths and nasty, soft vocals. The other face of the album boils with cutting metallic sounds and bizarre rapping vocals, psychedelic electro synths and snares... yes, snares. Camilla Sparksss is painting her own rainbow.
