Yeah You Rights, The
Lucy Anna
A new garage and honky-tonk duo emerges from deep in the swamps of southeast Louisiana like a rougarou in the night. The self proclaimed "soul killers" are out for blood and ready to twist your mind and your hips. Yeah you right! Vocalist and guitarist, Gary Roadarmel is no stranger to the music scene. He has spent his life from age 7 on stages performing in bands from garage-punks, The M-80's to honky-tonkers, JP Harris & The Tough Choices. He spent 16 years recording and touring with his own group Porter Hall Tennessee gaining critics picks across the globe. This included reviews in Billboard Magazine, The Wallstreet Journal, and NPR's All Things Considered which pushed them to the #3 top selling country artists on Amazon. As PHT disbanded in Nashville, Gary took shelter even deeper in the south. The Yeah You Rights bring together elements of punk, honky-tonk, garage, trash, psychedelic, and roots into a tight knit, loud, and frenzied duo of guitar and drums. Self written songs of drug and alcohol abuse, sex, and murder prevail through their set as well as hand selective obscure covers. So tune in, drop out, and geaux WILD! Yeah you right!!! FFO: Porter Hall Tennessee, Hank Williams III, Flat Duo Jets, The Stooges, Hasil Adkins, The Gories.
