Visitors (nigeria)
My Good Friends
The least known name - but arguably one of the best bands - on Ben Ononkwo's Clover Sound label was The Visitors. For a short, sweet time between 1975 and 1978, The Visitors created the most righteous sounds in the east of Nigeria. We're talking deep Afro-funk with generous dollops of rock psych fuzz synth madness. 'My Good Friends', the second album, finds the group at the height of its powers. The musicianship throughout the album is extraordinary.
