Early version of 'Mambo loco' recorded by Colombian accordionist and composer Aníbal Velásquez. An irresistible dancefloor anthem: raw, hypnotic, and percussive, driven by a powerful rhythmic background with an unmistakable Afro influence. On the flip side, we find one of the most iconic cumbias by Colombian group Afrosound, 'Tiro al blanco,' here in the version by Peruvian group Los Continentales, fronted by superb guitarist Pancho Acosta. Reissued together on a 45 for the first time.
