Tidal Sleep, The

Vorstellingskraft

Both guitars complete each other in a perfect way and carry sadness, anger and beauty perfectly throughout all the songs. Along with all the roaring and the without a doubt hardest TSS-moments ever, you even have time to place songs that - because of their fragility and despair - could be a bow to my 90s Emo heroes - Im talking about song 6, an instrumental piece that Mineral couldnt do better - and everybody knows that "The Power of Falling" is the V2 amongst the schmaltzy stuff. Managing to make such a huge amount of influences your own without making it sound forced and strained is something one has to achieve first. Chapeau! Everything flows, everything changes without losing its character - at some parts the vocals even turn melodic without sounding greasy (song 9), only to become very guttural again after a few seconds. In general you become more conciliatory towards the end, almost tame and then you unleash with song 11 something big that combines the short, almost popish moments you had before with your typical endless increasing climaxes and guitar duels. As well I have to say that not even The Gloria Record could have made a better end. Overall, one probably couldnt combine progressive post rock with hardcore in a better way and being fragile and pissed off in a more charming way. FOR FANS OF: SADDEST LANDSCAPE, TOUCHE AMORE, PIANOS BECOME THE TEETH, LA DISPUTE!
