Celebrating The Duke - Nutcracker Suites
Originally from the southwest of Germany, the musicians have studied jazz intensively and love all variations of classic jazz. With their fourth album, which will be released in 2024, the SWOAS not only pay tribute to Duke Ellington, one of the most important composers of jazz in the 20th century, but also to the Russian composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky. Felix Fromm has rearranged the world-famous ballet music "Nutcracker Suite" by Tchaikovsky (in Duke Ellington's version) and staged it for the SWOAS.
