If we had to sum up the music and lyrics of S M M C (acronym of Stella Maris Music Conspiracy), rage, riot and new World disorder probably are the the best words to use. The name of the band, adapted from The Illuminatus! by Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson, a 70s counterculture book based on conspiracy theories and political fiction, explain the interest and the political commitment of their music. The SMMC's music is inspired by garage rock of the Detroit sound scene (Stooges, MC5, Radio Birdman) and reflects the heritage of the punk harcore roots to create a sort of peculiar power pop core.
