Nevermore
The Politics Of Ecstasy
Losing a lot of words about the Prog/Thrashers of NEVERMORE is like carrying owls to Athens. Five years after his sudden death, the albums by the band from Seattle around singer Warrel Dane not only belong to his personal, but also to a genre-defining, all-encompassing musical legacy. With the tricky second work "The Politics of Ecstasy" and the 2000 long player "Dead Heart in a Dead World", with which the band also achieved their final breakthrough in the metal scene commercially, two albums by the progressive power/thrashers are re-released here, the simply belong in every CD collection. Peppered with exceptional songs, Nevermore have erected a monument for themselves and Warrel Dane for eternity, while guitarist Curran Murphy is about to continue the legacy with his follow-up project SHATTER MESSIAH. A rebrelease was therefore long overdue, because both albums are now out of print and should not be forgotten
