Mid Rats
Enemies Within
Hardcore punk trio Mid Rats' latest release Enemies Within is chock-full of socio-political commentary. With a strong, ten-year résumé of activity straddling both sides of the pandemic, Mid Rats has had plenty of material to work with recently. The album addresses these turbulent times with searing vocals, speedy, thumping drums and heavy riffage. There's a strong case made about society nested in these 8 songs that suggests it might be time to rip it up and start all over again. Mid Rats is a staple act in the York-Lancaster, PA scene. The group has a solid track record, opening for Teenage Bottlerocket, Negative Approach, Big Wig, The Nobodys and Pears at the area's clubs as well as frequent performances around the local circuit with ascendant, fellow PA punks Fashion Crime, Addled Brains and Fat Heaven, to name a few. Enemies Within was recorded, mixed and mastered at The Kaleidoscope, Lancaster by Jon Smith and Ben Roth.
