SATX's Faulty Cognitions' "Demo" is storytelling par excellence - the perfect mixture of lyrical content and catchy melody. The spirit of this album is that it sits somewhere between raw and complete it certainly feels like more than a demo. In all its forms, this is an accomplished recording. There is a slight feel of natural polish and a pinch of openness on the vinyl edition that gives "Demo" a different, complementary sound to the digital/cassette presentations released on Dead Broke and Discos Peroquébien in 2023. The 12" vinyl edition is pressed on coke bottle and includes a newly arranged, vinyl-specific layout with lyric insert/band picture. Faulty Cognitions have shared the stage with underground stalwarts FYP, Bullshit Detectör, Night Court, Soft Kill, Colleen Green and The Dumpies in SATX shows and on tours pointing westward. The band will hit the road with Toys That Kill for an east coast tour in June 2026. "Demo" was recorded and mixed by Joshua Bloodsworth and mastered by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air Studios.
