"Kampen" (Norwegian for "The Battle") is ELITE's monumental debut album, originally released in 2004. It marked the band's rise to prominence in the Norwegian black metal scene. To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the album was reissued in 2023 by Folter Records, including bonus material (a 7" EP) and exclusive content. The album delivers raw, unpolished Norwegian black metal that stands out from mainstream trends. The compositions are characterized by Nordic chill, blistering riffs, and an epic depth often described as "Viking Metal"- influenced.
