This exceptional, moody and experimental sound of the ghanaian afro rock band Edzayawa (pronounced as Ed-Zye-Ow-Ahh) is one of the most obscure and unique releases as many Soundway releases from the past decade. The amjority of their songs are based on a 6/8 rhythm influenced by the music of the Ewe people from the south east of Ghane and the west part of Togo. Besides themes strongly based on tradition, there is also room for the much higher Highlife sound.
