Damien
Stop This War
Stop This War includes a total of 10 original songs recorded in studio, with the song Break Out being one of the band's greatest classics, largely due to the extensive airplay that the official music video had on MTV's Headbangers Ball, being one of the most cherished videos of Damien's fan base. Edward Shimborske III writes: "Break Out, the single from Stop This War, aired on MTV's Headbangers Ball numerous times in 1989 and 1990. The impressive video featured the band performing live at Roxannes (in Toledo, Ohio), interspersed with footage of local bad-ass motorcycle club, the Iron Coffins, as well as a bevy of local beauties, friends, and family members. The clip helped escalate record sales, and the record earned even more stellar reviews, expanding the bands burgeoning fanbase. Damien quickly elevated its adoration and admiration a thousand-fold in foreign markets (where the bands style had commonly been referred to as "power metal")."
