Every Dog Has Its Day
U.S. Metal aficionados know well how the great state of Ohio was prolific in excellent bands. These metal heroes from Toledo belong to that elite by their own right. Their first two albums ("Every Dog Has Its Day" from 1987 and "Stop This War" from 1989) are undoubtedly among the best albums of the 80's, when it comes to heavy / power metal made in North America. Every Dog Has Its Day includes a total of 10 original songs recorded in studio, with the song that gives the album its name being one of the band's greatest classics. The video clip had a lot of airplay on MTV's Headbangers Ball, being one of the most requested videos at the end of that decade. Edward Shimborske III notes: "Surprisingly, the video aired on MTVs "Headbangers Ball," prompting a legion of national metal-heads to discover the record, despite poor distribution. Fans began writing the band, asking where they could find the record or telling stories of crossing state lines just to buy it! In the meantime, it earned considerable airplay in the college metal market and accumulated favorable press. Billboard noted the bands detail for melody, while Cashbox exclaimed the album had as much bite as the snarling wolf on the cover! FMQB even went as far as to say "This five-man band is just about the best thing to come out of Ohio since the 75 Cincinnati Reds!" Deluxe CD edition limited to 500 copies, with 16-page booklet with lyrics, special liner notes and rare photos, bonus tracks and remastered sound.
