Antipole & Pedro Code
Future Echoes
Future Echoes is the result of a collaboration long in the making. The foundation was laid in 20182019, when Antipole (Karl Morten Dahl) first connected with Pedro Code of IAMTHESHADOW, including a performance at Cold Transmission Festival in 2019. What began as an idea to one day create a full album together took six years to fully realize. During this time, Dahl explored various collaborations including the album A Haunted Place (2021) with Kill Shelter (Pete Burns) and several releases with Paris Alexander before a turning point arrived in 2024 while recording Walk With Me with his son, Ja'kob. That moment sparked the creative process that would become Future Echoes. Throughout 2025, Dahl sent instrumental melodies to Pedro Code, who shaped them with vocals, lyrics, synths and production. The collaboration found its defining form with Washed Away, when it became clear the material was evolving into a full album. The result is a seamless blend of Antipole's guitar-driven melancholy and Pedro's distinctive baritone voice and production balancing light and darkness, beauty and despair. Featuring contributions from Ja'kob on three tracks, Future Echoes is both a deeply personal and collaborative work. Written primarily during a creative surge in 2025, the album also revisits two Antipole demos from 20172018, bringing them into a cohesive and fully realized form. Antipole is the musical project of Trondheim-based guitarist Karl Morten Dahl, known for his melancholic, post-punk and darkwave sound. Pedro Code is the founder of IAMTHESHADOW, a Portuguese darkwave/post-punk project recognized for its atmospheric textures and emotive depth. Ja'kob (Jakob Viberg-Dahl) is a 17-year-old guitarist and son of Dahl.
