Wicked Waltz
Perseverance
/FFO: Fates Warning, Crimson Glory, Kamelot, Queensrÿche The finalized version of Wicked Waltz after several personnel changes began to take shape around 2008. Micah Nicholson and Jeff Quiggle began writing together, completing songs one after another, with Jason Rushing contributing the lyrics. From there, Wicked Waltz was formed and began releasing several songs and an EP during the early days of social media. The band received praise locally and from listeners in parts of Europe. After the departure of the band's drummer and a number of cancelled shows, the band's future became uncertain. Rather than leave the material unfinished, Wicked Waltz decided to complete the album with a guest drummer. Casey Grillo of Kamelot joined the project, and, as Jeff recalls, "the music came alive in the studio". The resulting album, "Perseverance", was completed and pressed in 2014. Although copies were made available directly and the album was distributed digitally, it never received the proper commercial release, physical distribution and promotional campaign the band had originally hoped for. Now, twelve years later, Astral Haven Records is bringing "Perseverance" to a wider audience through a dedicated 2026 release campaign, while the original 2014 CDs remain the physical edition being offered to fans and collectors.
