Twice Latin Grammy nominee (2007 & 2010) for "Best Tango Album" and also Gammy nominee of 2011 for "Best Traditional World Music Album", Vayo is an innovator of the genre who sings his new tangos and milongas in a style of unique sensitivity and strength. Some of the tracks are Vayos compositions, and others range from the traditional to his transformations of popular themes, not originally conceived in this genre, as tangos and milongas. Vayos acoustic ensemble is made of seasoned musicians of Montevideo: guitars, bandoneons, double bass, cornet, flute, and drums.
