Recorded live with a more traditional bass/drum/guitar band approach than Tuffy usually does, Country Star is a departure from the more open sound of Dans previous records. Co-writing collaborations with his band SONG CREW come more to the forefront on this release but what remains is the meticulous attention to production that fans of Dans music are used to, luring you out of thinking into feeling.
