Big Low
The Junction Of The Two Rivers
Loyal BIG LOW fans refer to this album as their favourite. It is the last record BIG LOW released and is brimming with the creative tension that Dan Tuffy, Michiel Hollanders & Marc Constandse had while merging their disparate and divergent musical backgrounds into the BIG LOW sound. Whether its an off-beat narrative about being reincarnated as a native Australian bird or a lilting 2 chord narrative about a sacred river held down by a 5/4 Berber hand drum beat - there is always an element of the unexpected, both in production and influence. A must listen for fans of Woven Hand or Calexico, but more-so for folks looking for something different.
