Breaking Barriers

Digitally remastered re-release of the second Album (1986) by swedish (Neo-) Prog-Rockers TRIBUTE. "Breaking Barriers" is available as Digipack including an extensive Booklet on SIREENA Records. With their debut-album "New Views", released in 1984, swedish symphonic rockers TRIBUTE ably introduced their epic stance of rock in the vein of MIKE OLDFIELD. It comes as no surprise, that this six-piece ensemble, headed by multiinstrumentalists GIDEON ANDERSSON and CHRISTER RHEDIN, recorded four of the fi nest and most successful (Neo-) Prog-Rock records of their time. Their second album "Breaking Barriers" saw the addition of drummer PIERRE MOERLEN (ex-GONG) and continued their commitment to progressive space-rock sounds, as well as broadening their spectrum and incorporating elements of jazz, world- and folk-music. Following their dancefl oor-hit "Icebreaker", on this album TRIBUTE delivered "Diesel Engine" a soon-to-be fan-favorite.
