Sky Racer
The final album of the Krautrock heroes STREETMARK to be released on CD for the very first time! "This (final) LP from 1980 was the first one not recorded at Conny Planck's Studio. Instead, the band chose the Dieter Dierks Studios in which the Scorpions and other international rock stars have produced their records. Another reason was the shift from Jurgen Kramer to the Dierks Studios . Jn was a very close friend and the life-long-engineer of the band. The compositions reflect the various musical styles of that time significantly . This had led to a personnel change of the band. They did not want to follow the emerging trend of " Neue Deutsche Welle ". Early 1980 also Thomas Schreiber left the band, so only Dorothea Raukes remained as former original band member. Supported by Stephan Jehring (bass), Dickie Hank (guitar) and drummer Bogdan Skowronek, they recorded ,Sky Racer" 1981, the last album of STREETMARK which one more time burnt all advantages of the band on both sides of a vinyl. 1981 the last tour of STREETMARK took place, where for the last two gigs guitar player Thomas Schreiber joined the band. Founding member Bernd Schreiber joined all recordings and also live concerts, as sound engineer . After finishing this tour also the head of the band, Dorothea Raukes, returned into civil life
