Stoehr, Andreas
Emil Sinclairs Songbook
Originally, regardless of cyclical arrangement or stylistic categories, and certainly not with the intention of presenting the results to a public, songs, songs and chansons were created which Andreas Stoehr - it seems to him today - apparently withheld a final form out of sheer sadism : the unfinished -sketchy does not need to expose itself to criticism. But, as Arnold Schonberg put it, art does not come from ability, but from must, and so spring 2020 was a special kind of gift: while pausing in the turmoil of the world, the present gained a new quality. The music, misappropriated on numerous notepads and sheet music, came back from the untidy corners of his biographical collections and demanded its right to be brought into a final form.
