This album has existed within me since my childhood. It is made up of all these songs which, one by one, crossed my path until they formed a whole, and which I consider to be my musical identity. I am this assembly of texts, melodies, interpretations which made me human, sensitive, strong, fragile, which made me vibrate so much that the desire to sing became a need. Making them mine for the duration of an album is giving myself a dream, a piece of magic. Rub shoulders with the greatest and their art through the immortality of songs. Faced with these authors, composers and performers, I slip modestly into their songs like a little girl who puts on her mother's shoes and suddenly feels like a woman. Natasha St-Pier revisits the great French songs in an intimate and refined album. This album is a tribute to French musical heritage.
