Harawi
HARAWI - composed by Olivier Messiaen in 1945, is a song cycle consisting of 12 songs displaying two recurring, melodic love themes. The cycle is about death and love, an irresistible and deeply passionate love, typically ending with the death of the two lovers. This is the myth of Tristan and Isolde, a widely used theme in Peruvian folklore.
