Skinflicks, The
Beyond Good And Evil
Much like Nietzsche, who left behind the traditional morality which he subjected to a harsh critique in favour of a rather affirmative approach regarding the perspectival nature of knowledge and the dire condition of modern Man and thus entered a realm beyond good and evil, THE SKINFLICKS don't give a fu*k. Their second album, which borrowed Nietzsche's slogan for a title, leaves behind all precon- ceived notions of early millenial streetpunk, AKA Oi!-the mediocrity. This release is, in fact, a not-so-humble collection of mostly up-tempo, in-yer-face boot chants, that will keep your feet moving and the fists flying. The Pride Of Our Scene is a rare and heartfelt homage to the skin- girls of the world, while the classic Craphole, is a kiss-good-night to the selfrighteous arseholery of the politically correct. The fierce Brugge Skins, the catchy Media and the aggro-as-fuck No Slo-Mo Po-Go are but a few of the pearls from this great beyond.
