Savage Grace

New York Daze (yellow)

Savage Grace isn't just a speed metal band they're part of the genre's foundation. Emerging from Los Angeles in the early '80s, the band played a crucial role in shaping the U.S. speed metal sound, pushing speed, aggression and precision at a time when the genre was still being defined. Their uncompromising approach left a lasting mark on the underground and influenced generations of bands that followed. New York Daze unveils a long-lost chapter in the band's history. Recorded between 1989 and 1991, this previously unreleased album was intended to mark a new era for Savage Grace, with plans for a major label release that ultimately never came to fruition. During this period, founder Chris Logue relocated from Los Angeles to New York, a transition that influenced a shift in musical direction toward a more hard rockdriven approach, while still retaining the band's metallic core.
