Red London

Back On The Streets

Track 1 - Back on the streets - This song is about our fan base and the movement who follow us. Skins, punks, its a show of respect to those people in a statement to say we are back on the streets and we are here for you. Track 2 - Do you remember - when we were younger, we used to drink in a pub called the Roker Hotel in Sunderland this song relates to the times of that era. Track 3 - Long night in long island - A beer drinking song about how Red Alert drank their way in and out of Long Island. Especially the last night of the tour which was a legendary night. Track 4 - Life goes so fast - A friendship song reflecting on the good times we had when we were all together and a reminder to make the most of the good times while they last. Track 5 - All the skinhead girls - Tribute to Skinheads and Skinhead girls across the world. Track 6 - Man of the world - at the time of drinking in the Roker Hotel there was a lad called Stuart Rough who would drink in there. Stuart was a bit eccentric and he latched onto us and our rebellion outlook on life where we became really good friends and started planning the revolution with us over the many pints of beer. Stuart had this aurora about him which would turn heads wherever he went which subsequently inspired me to write the lyrics to this song based on him. Track 7 - Bootboy Overture - Inspired by the Fulwell bootboys who drank in a pub called the Blue Bell in Fulwell. These lads were the original skins in Sunderland. My cousin who used to look after me when I was a kid was in the Fulwell bootboys and he inspired me immensely with his articulate style of clothing. Later we became the second generation of bootboys which becomes part of my story. Track 8 - Love that Friday feeling - nice little acoustic track with a feel-good factor as the weekend draws near that Friday feeling is coming around. Track 9 - No ones coming outside - Chelsea song seems appropriate to cover we love this band. Track 10 - Soul train - based on club bands singing other peoples songs, what springs to mind is record producers ripping people off and lining their own pockets while churning out absolute garbage and exploiting the music fans. Track 11 - After the lights have gone out - this is about going on tour. At times youre so happy at the thought of going away on tour. Then after returning home and feeling low, youre as flat as fuck when the stage curtain comes down.
