Peet, 32, is one of the leading figures of the Belgian rap scene. A writer, rapper and singer from Brussels, he has forged his musical identity between family heritage (from jazz to rock via soul), passion for rap and love of instruments. After making a name for himself with his collective Le 77, he is forging a unique solo path and refining his style, project after project. His latest album, Joyboy, is a testament to this. The title is a nod to the manga One Piece. The project is an intimate, luminous, and organic record. It's a declaration of faith: that of an artist who transforms his doubts into melodies. A musical journey into the universe of a "sun king", carried by sensitive writing and rich instrumental production.
