Nazamba and Rico O.B.F continue their journey with Thompson Sound. Following the success of Curfew, Sweet Sensimilia, and Evening Love, they now unveil Guide & Protect, a reimagined take on Michael Prophet's classic Guide & Protect You, originally recorded at Channel One in 1981. In 2025, Rico O.B.F revisited the original stems at Dubquake Studio in France, layering his trademark flute licks and groove, while inviting Mark Iration to deliver vocals. Prophet and Mark trade verses as if side by side, embodying a timeless connection. A true celebration of Prophet's legacy, Protection bridges reggae's past and future. Nazamba's unmistakable dub poetry, captured in his Jamaican backyard during Rico's visit, adds another dimension. This track also offers a glimpse into Nazamba's highly anticipated posthumous album, A Message from Zion, set for release in November. A heartfelt tribute to reggae music from one of its most promising lost talents.
