A Tale Of Reeds
The new album A Tale of Reeds gathers the highlights of French chamber music literature and a never-before-recorded Belgian repertoire for a trio of piano, oboe and bassoon. The works featured on this CD have remained below the radar of the classical music industry. That their "quite exceptional talents" were once truly appreciated is enough reason to bring them back into the limelight. All bassoon compositions in the present anthology of French and Belgian music were meant for the French bassoon, and this CD is explicitly intended as an homage to the instrument for which Luc Loubry is one of the last advocates in Belgium. The album is beautifully perfomed by Bram Nolf (oboe), Luc Loubry (bassoon) and Hans Ryckelynck (piano)
