The Netherlands Wind Ensembles New Years Concerts have become as inseparable from New Years Day as ski jumping and the Viennese Waltz. Its a surprising musical party with unexpected guests from all over the world, extraordinary stories and new compositions from young composers. This year's concert on the 1st of January 2021 "STA OP" ["STAND UP"], was very different in comparison to all previous editions of the New Year's Concert. The Netherlands Wind Ensemble wasn't able to welcome any audience members due to the Covid-19 pandemic. They turned this huge disappointment into a unique opportunity, by removing all the chairs form the concert hall and creating a magical experience for the eyes and ears with this New Years Concert full of hope, trust and inspiration.
