A Message From Zion
Six years after Nazamba's first release, here is his posthumous work: A Message From Zion. It all began with the meeting between George "Nazamba" and Rico "O.B.F," two twin spirits bound by music. Numerous trips between Kingston and the French Alps followed: hot beers on the beach, reasonings in the snowy mountains of the 74... Moments that forged their brotherhood. From this friendship was born a first album, Nazamba (2019). This is the second, the result of a collaboration between Thompson Sound and Dubquake Records. Together, they unite two reggae powerhouses. Driven by the vision of Rico O.B.F, the gems of the Thompson Sound catalog are reinvented at Dubquake Studio. Nazamba's musical storytelling comes to life alongside the Roots Radics, accompanied by Linval Thompson and Barrington Levy. Then, silence. In 2022, Nazamba joined Zion. The album isn't finished, but the seed is planted. What he leaves behind is a raw, imperfect, and overwhelmingly beautiful body of work.
