Limite Acque Sicure

Un'altra Mano Di Carte

The band was formed in Ferrara in 2005 by Andrea Chendi and Antonello Giovannelli, the idea was to create a project to perform a selection of their best-loved progressive rock songs live. After initial difficulties and some changes in the first line-up, since 2009 the musicians have remained the same: Andrea Chendi vocals, Antonello Giovannelli keyboards, Luca Trabanelli guitars, Paolo Bolognesi drums, Francesco Gigante bass. Since 2016, the group has taken its present form with Ambra Bianchi on flute, voice and harp; with this line-up, the group has undertaken the writing of its own songs, honouring the challenge to go 'beyond' 'Un'altra mano di carte' is the second album released by the, two years after the debut. In the new album, the group develops a theme, a 'concept': some characters, recounting their life experience, actually deal with extremely topical social issues. Marginalisation, oppression, war, are some of the themes that emerge from the stories contained in the six tracks. But in each story there is always a light of hope, a small gesture of rebellion, a burst of pride that portends a possibility of change. The theme of 'difficult' lives stems from the artists' personal sensitivity to socially motivated themes, which concern man and his history in the world. Limite Acque Sicure entrusts its compositions with food for thought for the listener, in the knowledge that music should also have this purpose.
