Take Two
Spanish pop punk veterans K7s return to the scene with "Take Two", their long awaited second album (or third if you include their splendid "Mondo Bizarro" cover album). The band spoils us with 12 songs that vary in sound from classic power pop to furious punk rock bangers. Seasoned songwriter Luis Sanchez (Depressing Claim, Los Reactivos) is able to follow up the dark and angst-driven stomper 'Only Human' with the sugar sweet love song 'Marry You', or treat you with one of the most beautiful pop songs you've heard all the year ('The Beginning Of The End', featuring great backing vocals by bassist Kurt Baker) only to almost knock you out right after that with the politically charged 'T.R.U.M.P.', and make it all flow perfectly and sound equally great.
