Hinojosa, Tish -trio-
Live In Holland 1993, Part 2
Tish Hinojosa is a Texas folk-country singer-songwriter with Mexican roots. She writes her work in Spanish and English, much of which reflects her environmental and social engagement. She also writes and sings extensively about the plight of Latino migrant workers and poor children in her American-Mexican border community. Linda Ronstadt recognized the beauty of Tish's work early on and recorded Adónde Voy for her Winter Light album. Around 1990, Europe was introduced to her velvety-soft voice yet powerful Americana sound. Tish's voice and guitar were already supported by (singer-songwriter dream) guitarist and vocalist Marvin Dykhuis on lead guitar, mandolin and harmony vocals, and Paul Pearcy on percussion and vocals. Pearcy is also known for his collaborations with The (Dixie) Chicks, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, and Willie Nelson, among others. In March 1993, Tish, Marvin, and Paul gave two memorable concerts in Lichtenvoorde, the Netherlands. These two concerts were recorded by SCR Productions, and it wasn't until 2025 that, in consultation, it was decided to master these recordings and add them to the now-famous acoustic "Stictly Country Records - Live in Holland" archive series on two full-length CDs.
