Guana Batz

Held Down... At Last! (yellow)

Originally released in 1985 on I.D. Records, Held Down... At Last! is one of the essential albums that defined the golden age of British psychobilly. Formed in Feltham, Middlesex, Guana Batz quickly established themselves as one of the genre's leading bands, combining the speed and attitude of punk with the dark twang of rockabilly and horror-infused imagery. From the legendary Klub Foot scene alongside the movement's original trailblazers, the band delivered a debut packed with relentless energy, razor-sharp guitar work, and Pip's unmistakable vocal style. More than four decades later, it remains one of the genre's landmark releases and an indispensable record for anyone exploring the roots of psychobilly.
