Grycan, Julien
Post-atom
Limited edition of 246 LPs in paste on sleeve/tip-on jackets. French acid-folk with stoned vocals, Julien Grycan's privately released album was made to be sold at a French car lot. Never officially distributed, this reverb-laden, emotion-filled album was originally limited to 200 copies, but many of the records were disposed making it a rare artifact. Influences included Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and the psychedelic years of Herve Cristiani, a friend of Julien's. Since he wes a cartoonist at the time, the artwork was done by Julien himself. Unfortunately though, due to financial constraints, he wasn't able to print in colour. This release however does offer the artwork in full colour, as originally intended. This reissue is recommended to fans of Beautiful Losers, the first Manset, Denis, Celebration (Old Green Village), etc.
