Not for sale to GAS (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) EXTRAORDINARY TRIPLE DISC SET OF RARE RORY GALLAGHER RECORDINGS Born in Ballyshannon, County Donegal in Ireland in 1948, Rory Gallagher - despite modest success during his years as a performer- remains the most underrated guitar great from the rock age. Clearly a player who should be mentioned alongside Clapton, Page, Beck and Richards, sadly, Gallagher very rarely is. His early death at the age of just 47, only adds insult to injury. However, in celebration of what can only be called a quite staggering career musically, this new triple disc box set features three rare live recordings by Rory, from right across his days as an extraordinary performer. Kicking off, DISC ONE includes Gallaghers superb show, recorded for live FM Broadcast at the Liberty Hall, in Houston, Texas, on the 4th August 1974. Next, DISC TWO features Rorys superb gig played at the Shrine Auditorium, in Los Angeles, on 18th November 1976. This disc also includes, bonus cuts from the great mans concert played at San Diego Civic Center, on 4th April 1974. This enticing set culminates on DISC THREE with Rory Gallagher on stage at The Freilichtb in Loreley, St. Goarshausen, Germany, on 28th August 1982, another show originally recorded for live FM Broadcast.
