Stralande Juletid
With Stralande Juletid, the Hamburg duo Fjarill releases their eleventh album a loving homage to the magic of the Nordic Christmas season. Aino Löwenmark and Hanmari Spiegel invite you on a musical journey full of light, peace, and hope. Following their acclaimed winter album Stilla Tyd (2016), the two artists once again dedicate themselves to the quiet power of the dark season. Fjarill's music combines Swedish Christmas tradition with global sonic diversity. Classics such as "Jul jul stralande jul" and "Nu tändas tusen juleljus" resonate in delicate, new colors. Hanmari Spiegel brings a contemplative depth with violin and piano, while guest musicians such as Bene Aperdannier and Ulrich Rode add special accents. A highlight is the interpretation of Sibelius' "Julvisa" melancholic, touching, and full of Nordic magic. The album was produced by Jürgen Spiegel at Waldenstudio Hamburg, and mastered by Stefano Amerio in Italy. Stralande Juletid is more than music it is a space for reflection, peace, and luminous thoughts. Live, Fjarill unfolds a special atmosphere that blurs boundaries: between living room and concert hall, between the Elbphilharmonie and the Swedish taiga. An album that touches quiet, honest, and radiant.
