Then came "Regret", perhaps the most emotionally devastating chapter in the band's early legacy. A shadow hangs quietly over the passage from "Stormbirds" to "Regret". Shortly before, EverEve were struck by the tragic loss of their vocalist and lyricist, Tom Sedotschenko, whose presence had defined the emotional core of their first two works. Although his voice is not heard on "Regret", his absence seems to echo through it like an invisible wound. The album stands as a powerful continuation of the band's artistic vision: darker and heavier.
