ESCALATE is a vegan, straight-edge hardcore band from Veszprém, Hungary. Formed in 2020 as the first fully vegan, straight-edge band in their country, they use hardcore as a weapon to confront speciesism, oppression, and complacency. After releasing their debut full-length, Consequences, on New Age Records, ESCALATE took their message to the streets, touring extensively across Europe and playing shows throughout most of the continent. Every show reinforces their commitment to veganism, straight edge, and uncompromising D.I.Y. ethics. Rooted in the tradition of militant, '90s XVX hardcore and delivered with a modern, aggressive sound, ESCALATE's music is direct, confrontational, and unapologetic. Their upcoming five-song EP, The Cry of Nature, pushes that message further: louder, heavier, and more focused than ever.
