Electric Orange is a German psychedelic and Krautrock band founded in 1992 by keyboardist Dirk Jan Müller. With their hypnotic mix of analog synthesizers, spacey soundscapes, and driving grooves, the group continues the tradition of classic Krautrock acts of the 1970s, while remaining experimental and modern. Over the years, Electric Orange has become known above all for their intense live improvisations and atmospherically dense studio albums, which range from electronic sound experiments to heavy, rocking passages. The band has earned a firm place in the international psychedelic and spacerock scene and is now considered one of the most exciting representatives of contemporary Krautrock.
