Coppelius
Abwarts
Electric guitar and leather = metal and rock? Six worthy gentlemen from Berlin take the liberty of politely slapping this clich around your ears: With top hat and tailcoat, with cello and clarinet, with elegance and distinguished pallor, Coppelius have been on stage for over 200 years (so they say themselves, and who would want to doubt it!) and practice chambercore: their very own steampunk style of metal and rock - hard and rough, but at the same time with the casual attitude of the gentleman of the world. Whether unmistakable cover versions of Iron Maiden or Motorhead or self-composed songs about madness, drug experiences and the despair of the modern world: Coppelius are unmistakable. A bizarre and unusual stage show, through which their butler Bastille guides with stylistic confidence, makes them a highlight for rock fans and metalheads, goths and steampunkers - and also picks up many a classic music enthusiast.
