Candor Piano Trio: Figueres Heinz, Julia Maria / Bagniewska, Weronikay
Garden After Midnight: Piano Trios
Garden after Midnight maps a chamber geography between Spain, Poland and the German world, in late-Romantic twilight. Granados's Piano Trio op. 50 infuses the European inheritance with Iberian song/ Ró?ycki's Rhapsody op. 33, rooted in Young Poland, turns form into febrile narration. Chapí's distinctive two-movement Piano Trio sublimates the energy of zarzuela within instrumental discipline, while Philipp Scharwenka's Piano Trio in C-sharp minor op. 100 unites Central European melancholy with firm design. The Candor Piano Trio's discographic debut explores seldom-heard repertory and places the piano at the centre of a conversation in which violin and cello envelop, contradict and ignite the musical substance. Distinct cultural identities thus meet without surrendering their singular light.
