The group also won a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009. Nominated for Grammy Awards 16 times and winning at least 7 times. Their most recent win came in 2024. Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductees The Blind Boys of Alabama recorded in New Orleans for the first time in their almost 75 year history.
