Blasio-redorici Piano Duo
Myricae: Piano Four Hands In 20th-century Italy
The vibrant Italian musical scene of the early 20th century comes alive in "Myricae," an anthology for piano four-hands spanning composers from Respighi to Pilati. This collection brings together short yet colourfully evocative pieces, from Respighis graceful musical watercolours to Casellas wartime vignettes and Bossis dreamy waltzes. The cosmopolitan flair of Busoni is also on display, as well as the rediscovery of a Pilati work recorded here for the first time. The Blasio-Redorici Piano Duo (Lisa Redorici and Gianluca Blasio) weave their four hands with elegance, illuminating a fascinating chapter of Italian repertoire poised between late-Romantic tradition and modernist energy.
