Keep It Cool
"Keep It Cool" is sharp, ironic, and painfully true: a clash between the fear of flying and the reckless joy of the after-party (hangover included). Inspired by an early-morning return from a European show, an all-nighter straight to the gate, a dawn take-off, and a bout of gastroenteritis turned tragicomic at 10,000 meters, the track is raw honesty wrapped in tongue-in-cheek attitude. One of the very first songs written for the upcoming album Stanzini Can Be Allright, it's been road-tested live for nearly two years, mutating with every performance. Musically, it's where DEVO-like jolts collide with '90s American indie rock energy.
